About Bob

   
   I like to write about the South...the South of yesterday, because I find the people, places and events so intriguing. That's one reason my wife Gwen and I choose to live in the historic Summerville District in Augusta, Georgia.

     I've been a broadcast journalist, city mayor, senior executive in a presidential administration, conservationist, Vietnam War veteran, movie actor, DoD school business manager, flight instructor -  oh, just so many careers.  But what I enjoy most is the title "author."

     I hope you enjoy reading my books and watching my movies and television shows, as much as I enjoy researching. writing, and participating in them.
